1981 VW Westfalia Joker 2
Petrol, Aircooled, 2.0 Litre CU, 51 Kw 70PS, 4 speed manual gearbox
Our beloved Bulli sleeps and travels up to 4 people without compromising comfort. It has 2 full-sized double beds, a kitchenette with a 2-burner gas stove, sink with water pump and 45liter water tank, and a 3-way refrigerator (gas, 12V, 120V). The Bulli can undoubtedly replace our Berlin apartment, which we've left behind. Further the Camper got a pop-up roof, rotating front seats, a dining table, electric and water hook-ups, propane tank, privacy curtains, and a fire extinguisher. The interior consisted of brown woodgrain furniture and brown upholstery with multi coloured rectangles. Price at launch in the 80s for our camper was 18,781 DM, plus an additional 8,845 DM for the VW Westfalia Joker 2 equipment - which equals about 14,125 EUR.

ABOUT US
Consumed by wanderlust and bitten by the travel bug we (Elisabeth Hartmann 26 und Christian Nieth 26) have decided to leave our common lives behind for a while. We quitted our jobs, cancelled our Berlin apartment and sold of as much as possible; to move into a 35-years old camper van. In mid-October 2015 we have hit the road having either a clear direction or done much planning. Ever since we are travelling.
